Mission

Information System Technologies, Inc. (ISTI) was established in 1998 to develop enabling technologies in wide scope of information systems and their implementation and integratation into existing systems. Our research focuses on both theoretical as well as experimental advances in digital signal/image processing, controls, communication, search/retrieval systems and high-impact applications in defense, industrial and medical arenas. ISTI brings together highly qualified and experienced researchers with diverse backgrounds to provide novel solutions to various DoD and industrial problems.

Goals

Some of our short and long-term goals include:

  • Identification of new application areas and technology development for military, medical, industrial and educational arenas.
  • Development of strategic plans for becoming a leader in information technology area as a small business entity in the State of Colorado.
  • Development of strategic plans to form a consortium with other local industry in Colorado as well as universities for the purpose of technology transfer and outreach.

Our commercialization strategies involve:

  • Licensing the developed technology to a well-established and a financially stronger and a larger company.
  • Patenting the developed technologies to ensure and maintain our strong position in the market place.
  • Seek financing and support from Venture Capital entities to aid us in identifying and negotiating with the right partner(s), in particular those companies that have a well-established network channels and a well-known reputation in the compatible product sales and development.

The context of the company's strategic goals are:

  • to develop our expertise and raise our profile as a well-respected partner and contributor to further advancements in the field of the proposed research,
  • to build and establish relationships with other researchers in the universities and governmental research laboratories in a manner that would ensure and achieve our strategic goals,
  • to take steps necessary to hire or subcontract staff that are devoted to the building and contributing expertise in the specific functional areas such as licensing and intellectual property management,
  • to create and develop clear marketing processes to establish the company as an efficient/expert dedicated team committed to promoting our research and technologies towards commercialization,
  • to aggressively seek and develop financing options geared toward fulfilling the company's goals and technology commercialization objectives consisting of mechanisms at different commercialization stages, and
  • to plan aggressively to transition the developed technology not only to the US Army Labs, but also to other DoD Labs interested in the broad technology with multiple potential applications.

Our Competitive advantages:

Our ultimate success in fulfilling and reaching our stated goals is supported and enriched by the following principle key factors:

  • Technical and management strength of our team as evident by the assembly of several researchers with PhD degrees and extensive and broad expertise in the areas of statistical array and signal processing, adaptive filtering, target detection/classification and tracking, neural network learning, intelligent-based systems and control, and extensive collaboration and involvement of the team members with various DoD supported and industrial-based projects.
  • Innovativeness of the solutions and algorithms developed by our research team and their applicability in real battlefield scenarios. Our primary goal is to develop algorithms that are better, cheaper and more effective and efficient as compared to the state-of-art.
